Our Infant Room

Loving Care for Life’s Earliest Months

Our Infant Program welcomes babies from 6 weeks to 15 months in a nurturing, secure environment designed specifically for early development. At Little Steps, we understand how important these first months are—for your baby and for you.

We partner closely with families to ensure each child’s routine, needs, and milestones are honored with patience and care.

Safety & Comfort First

A Calm, Secure Environment for Growing Babies

Your baby’s safety is our highest priority. Our infant classroom is designed for comfort, cleanliness, and attentive supervision.

  • Low child-to-teacher ratios,1:3

  • Department of Early Education and Care Certified staff

  • CPR and First Aid trained educators

  • Enclosed and secure learning spaces

  • Age-appropriate materials and equipment

We maintain consistent routines while respecting each baby’s individual schedule for feeding, sleeping, and play.

Development at Every Stage

More Than Care—Early Learning from the Start

Even in the earliest months, babies are learning constantly. Our caregivers intentionally support:

  • Sensory exploration

  • Tummy time and gross motor development

  • Language exposure through songs and conversation

  • Social bonding and emotional security

  • Fine motor skill development through guided play

We focus on creating strong attachments and positive early experiences that build the foundation for lifelong learning.

Communication with Families

You’ll Never Miss a Moment

We believe parents should feel connected throughout the day. Families receive daily updates, including:

  • Feeding and nap schedules

  • Diaper changes

  • Activities and developmental highlights

  • Photos when available

Open communication builds trust and ensures your baby’s care feels seamless between home and school.

Outdoor & Movement Time

Fresh Air and Safe Exploration

Weather permitting, infants are taken outside each day for playground time and stroller walks around the premises. Fresh air and movement support physical development and overall well-being.

Transition to Toddler

Preparing for the Next Little Step

As your child approaches 15 months, we thoughtfully prepare them for the transition into our Toddler program, ensuring consistency and confidence as they continue to grow.
